I’m thrilled to share my newest Procreate oil pastel (oil pastel-style) brush set — along with the textured effects I created to make your digital art feel authentically tactile!
First, I designed the oil pastel brushes from scratch, then went a step further and created matching realistic oil pastel textures! 😊
The set includes:
🖌️ 4 high-quality textures (plus 2 bonus textures as a fun little gift! 😉)
Fun fact: The fourth texture was made using real handmade oil pastels — a secret I’m revealing for the very first time! 🤫
You might already know my original oil pastel brush set — but these new textures take the experience even further!
To get that grainy, crumbly “pastel-dust” effect, I highly recommend using them on a paper-textured canvas.
That said — the brushes alone also create unbelievably soft and beautiful artwork! (Yes, I’m kinda proud of this one 😆)
There are 10 brushes in total, each crafted for smooth, natural, and responsive drawing.
The first two brushes — "Pappelsino Paper" and "Art Prints Paper" — were tested repeatedly with real oil pastels on actual paper.
They truly mimic the feeling of drawing on those surfaces. HIGHLY recommended!
