I customized these brushes on Procreate because I couldn't find any that felt natural to me, but I love the flexibility of digital painting on Procreate on the iPad. At first, I just showed the pen brushes to friends on Instagram, and then a lot of people started asking if I could sell them, so I decided to make them available to everyone, along with a few other brushes I made later. The video and pictures above show how all of these brushes look.
I think painting with these brushes feels different from other brushes - I designed the glass and felt tip pens to have a slight bleed effect in the corners. When you place the pen on paper and paint over existing lines on the paper, they bleed into each other like real ink on paper.
Most of these brushes have no jagged edges - but they are high resolution - so selections are clean, and I use some of them when building screen print separations to get very crisp edges.
Also, they look more like photocopies, like zine style, which I like. The colored zine markers have a unique color buildup that makes things look very handmade - I've included some marker swatches to help with lighter colors and some instructions on how to use them.
These brushes are pressure sensitive to control transparency, rather than having separate brushes for each transparency percentage, so they are very flexible. Also, I included four unique Riso textures that overlap to look more realistic.
I also included a file with paper textures. You can find a lot of these online, so I didn't include more.
